Gurney Drive, Penang Island

Myvi on the road again, up north to Penang Island. This is during a brief stop on the highway services area. The kids wanted some food to eat.

Two options to cross to the island, via the Penang Bridge...

Or the Ferry service. Myvi chose the ferry. Mr. A takes the ferry everytime, the kids love the ride. More time taken to get to the other side, no need to rush during holidays.

Just as the ferry was about to dock, saw 2 large cruise ships at Penang Port.

Gurney Drive. Quiet in the daytime, lively at night with people strolling along and relaxing.
Stayed at the Gurney Hotel. This is the view of Gurney Drive from Mr. A's room on the 27th floor.

Swimming pool and activity center is located on the 7th floor. Strong breeze from the sea sometimes.
Recreation area filled with sand, creating artificial beach look. Great, children enjoyed this.
2 large pools. Kids area have water slides.

2 nights stay at the hotel. Mr. A did not spent time to visit other places much. So Myvi spent 2 days in the hotel basement parking lot. For food, Mr. A strolled along Gurney Drive. Plenty of places to eat. Mr. A enjoyed this claypot chicken biryani very much. The outlet is just next to the hotel.
Before heading home to Kuala Lumpur, Mr. A drove Myvi to Tanjung Bungah and Feringgi Beach stretch, and managed to squeezed in time to visit the Butterfly Park at Teluk Bahang.
