Traffic still heavy on the main streets of Georgetown. Walking is the better option.
About 1km walk to the eatery that visitors to Penang are familiar with, and I joined in the queue to take away some great tasting food at Nasi Kandar Line Clear.

To get around the central Georgetown area, there are free buses that ply the city regularly. Known as the CAT service. CAT for Central Area Transit.
The info on the buses will clearly display CAT signage at the front, side and back.
The nearest stop to hop on the CAT service from St Giles Wembley hotel is at Komtar bus station, that is just a short walk across the road.
The bus stop signage look something like this. There are 19 stops for the CAT service within Georgetown central area covering strategic locations that matters to tourist and local commuters alike.
